A Brief Introduction About Our President

Our founder, Dr. Teresa J. Williams, referred to as Dr. T. by her students, has over 25 years of experience as a college administrator, instructor, grants manager, and community organizer.

Educational Background

Dr. Teresa is an alumnus of East St. Louis Lincon Sr. High School and later earned her Ph.D. in higher education, administration, and leadership from St. Louis University. She also has a Master’s from Webster University and a Bachelor’s from Washington University.

Previous Work

She was involved in creating engagement programs for college students and designing assessment plans for nonprofit and higher educational institutions, apart from facilitating discussions between corporate executives and college-bound students.

  • Associate Dean, Jepson School of Leadership Studies, University of Richmond

  • Dean, Lock Haven University’s Clearfield Campus

Community Service

She has also been involved in community service, working with the Girl Scouts of America, United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Family Outreach of America.

Current Work

Dr. Teresa is now the Executive Director of Community Services for Caritas Family Solutions. In this role, Dr. T. is responsible for residential services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities; senior services; and homeless services and is also the president of Shamar Inc. At Shamar, we provide leadership development, program assessment and evaluation, and strategic planning services to nonprofit organizations.
